Clear Media Network

Country stations in Texas, South Carolina and Mississippi have affiliated with syndicator Clear Media Network for their country format coverage. M&M Broadcasting “Classic Kicker Country” KEKR Waco, TX, which simulcasts on the Waco-licensed translator K257GO at 99.3, and Waccamaw Broadcasting “Countryfied 107.5” WGTN Georgetown, SC, which simulcasts on the Georgetown-licensed translator W298CO at 107.5, now use Clear’s True Classic Country format. Ingram Broadcasting WBLE Batesville, MS (100.5) now features Clear’s Hot Country format.

“Clear Media Network is a huge upgrade from satellite radio because they make it local and they think of the listener first,” M&M Broadcasting OM Bryan Reeder says in a release. “Their jocks know the importance of local radio. The music is well-researched and spot on.”

Waccamaw Broadcasting owner Rod Stavley says Clear’s True Classic Country format put WGTN on the road to recovery.

“We branded our station as ‘Countryfied 107.5 FM,’ and it’s now paying off for us," Stavley says. “I've always believed in the Golden Rule of business, which is ‘do your due diligence,’ and making that call to Clear Media Network was unquestionably the right call."

Additionally, Delilah Rene’s KDUN-AM Reedsport, OR (1030), recently launched with Clear’s Big Oldies format, and New Vision Broadcasting’s newly acquired WTYJ Jackson, MS (97.7) features its Urban A/C format.

“This has been a banner several weeks for our network,” Clear COO Gary Spurgeon says. “We’ve just celebrated our first full year and are so excited to have the good fortune to help and partner with so many great local radio broadcasters across the country.”
