SiriusXM listeners can hear The Chicks Channel on Ch. 104 for the next week, but the SXM App will carry the limited-engagement station through the end of August. The Chicks Channel, which launched Tuesday, offers music from the trio’s entire catalog, as well as live performances, commentary and stories from the band. Programming also will include Chicks-curated music from other artists, including Brandi Carlile, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, Taylor Swift, Patty Griffin, James Taylor, David Gray and The Beatles.
“Music has always been a medium that brings people together, a way to connect and find commonality,” the trio said in a release. “As we continue to connect with our fans across the country on tour, we are so happy to also bring our music across the airwaves on our own SiriusXM channel.”
The group also announced five new dates for “The Chicks Tour”: Oct. 4 at the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion in Rogers, AR; Oct. 5 at The Zoo Amphitheatre in Oklahoma City; Oct. 8 at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, TX; and Oct. 10–11 at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX.
