Sony Music Publishing has renewed its worldwide deal with GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter Chris DeStefano, who first signed with the company in 2008. The singer-songwriter-producer has written songs for Luke Bryan (“That’s My Kind of Night”); Carrie Underwood (“Something in the Water”); Brett Eldredge (“Don’t Ya”); Dan + Shay (“Nothin’ Like You”); and Chris Young (“Losing Sleep”).
“As a songwriter, producer, performer, philanthropist, and songwriting advocate, there are few people in the Nashville creative community that have had as significant of an impact as Chris,” Sony Music Publishing Nashville EVP, Creative Josh Van Valkenburg said in a release. “We are honored to remain as his publishing family, and we are proud to celebrate his past, present and future success alongside him.”
DeStefano also is a board member for the Nashville Songwriters Association International and is involved in songwriter advocacy efforts.
“I’m very excited to be continuing my partnership with the amazing team at Sony Music Publishing,” DeStefano said. “I’m grateful for their fervent support, love for songs, and I look forward to future successes together."
