Audacy’s “US99” WUSN Chicago has tapped Melissa McGurren and Austin Huff as its new morning show co-hosts. “Melissa and Austin” will debut Monday. Drew Walker, who shifted to mornings following the departure of Katie Bright and Jason Pullman last year, moves from mornings to midday.
“I wish I could fully express my gratitude and happiness about joining the US99 team,” McGurren, who has spent most of her career with Chicago hot AC “The Mix” WTMX as a traffic reporter and co-host, said in a release. “I love Chicago and country music and I’ve never been more confident in an opportunity or my team. I know this is exactly where I’m supposed to be, and I couldn’t be happier to make this new move in my career.”
Her co-host, Huff, formerly served as an on-air/producer for Hubbard Sports WXOS St. Louis (101.1).
“I’m honored to wake up with this city every morning, and I cannot wait to have a ton of fun in the process,” Huff said.
“Melissa and Austin” will air weekdays from 6-9am.
