Cory Myers WWYZ

Cory Myers, MD and morning co-host at iHeartMedia “Country 92.5” WWYZ Hartford, CT, undergoes open-heart surgery Tuesday, June 15, to fix a birth defect. Myers talked about her condition during Wednesday’s “Damon & Cory” show and later posted about it on Facebook. “Apparently I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve,” Myers wrote, noting that her doctor had been keeping an eye on the problem for several years. “I have what’s called Aortic Valve Stenosis, [and] my valve has narrowed so severely that the blood isn’t getting through very well.” She plans to be off the air for three to four weeks while recuperating.
